I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic, Integrative Counselling and I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Since qualifying, I have also undertaken further training in Psycho-sexual therapy, Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Attachment Theory.
An important part of my approach to counselling is working with clients to help them explore and come to terms with their experiences during childhood and adolescence - particularly in the way they related to their parents or primary caregivers -
since this may well be a significant factor in the cause of the psychological problems and concerns that trouble them.
As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I draw on a number of different approaches to counselling when working with clients including person centred therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
